Psychological Assessment

Psychological Assessment can be a key tool to efficiently guide therapy, differentiating diagnoses for effective treatment, and further the insight of individuals.

Dr. Imming practices a form of collaborative psychological testing known as "Therapeutic Assessment". Therapeutic Assessment is a semi-structured approach developed by Steve Finn, Ph.D. and his colleagues at the Center for Therapeutic Assessment in Austin, Texas. Many goals can be accomplished with such testing, including determining a diagnosis and developing an effective course of treatment. The primary goal is to have a positive impact by helping people understand themselves better and find solutions to persistent problems.

Dr. Imming accepts referrals from other therapists and psychiatrists who wish for assistance in differential diagnosis as well as to facilitate making new headway with patients who have made progress but hit a plateau in their own therapy.
